Pädagogisches Konzept
The Berlin Nord gUG (limited liability) is a non-profit organization that operates two facilities as a business corporation; a third facility is currently under construction. As a learning organization, we base our actions and our attitudes on democratic values. The children entrusted to us are at the center of our daily work. This supports social processes and the reconciliation of family and work within the microcosm of the Berlin Reinickendorf district.
We want to encourage and enable the participation in a meaningful life and the solidarity-oriented sense of life required according to our worldview in a global world. We want to support and enable the growth of children, in their curiosity, their motor and cognitive development, a positive body image, their self-efficacy, the protection and respect of our living space, their aesthetic expression, and their need for safety and security. For us, this is a meaningful life task.
We want to create a living space where respect, appreciation, and a future-oriented, positive attitude can be shared by all involved parties.
Every day, all the actors strive to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere that creates both a safe and comfortable place to be and an inspiring learning environment.
In the attitude of a dialogical partnership in education, educators, pedagogical leaders, and management understand the shared responsibility to respect the children entrusted to us in their respective needs and characteristics, to enable equal opportunities, and to view diversity as a resource.
We strive for quality and keep our pedagogical orientation up to date, both in accordance with the required standards of the Berlin Education Program and the contemporary findings regarding early childhood education. We review and reflect on routines and view joint work as a process that is not to be concluded. We maintain transparent, open, and flexible interaction as a way of dealing with each other, observe agreed rules and legal requirements, and assume caring responsibility for the children of our community.
